August 2015 Newsletter

The trip to Tacoma, WA is over. A great time was had by all.
Pam & Bob Nelius and I flew into Vegas where we met Dorothy & Fred Prieto. The five of us drove from Vegas to Washington. Once we got there we had a lot of fun meeting up with members that we have not seen for several years. My friends from England were there, Barry Mann, Brad, John Riley and my dearest friend Nancy Gnepper…plus many more. Oh so many memories came back when I started to meet up with all of them. Everyone told me how much they missed Louie; he was always so outgoing (and of course he always had beer to share )!
The show was great. They had 105 Mets and one was more beautiful than the next! The hotel was great also as they provided a fantastic breakfast each morning. We took several tours around the city, which included a wonderful car museum. It was unbelievable and was privately owned. They had any kind of car or truck you could ask for. You would need more than a week to see them all!
The banquet was held and the trophies were presented. Our Newsletter, thanks to Jennifer, won a trophy. I did really expect that because Jen does do a wonderful job. Thanks Jen. Let's all give her a great thank you! (No problem )
The Indiana Mets are holding the 2016 Meet. I have included a flyer. Let's look forward to the doing for 2016. The next meeting will be held at Hartford Amish Country. We will meet at 1:00pm August 15th at the restaurant.
